Gopal Nandurkar

Gopal Nandurkar earned his degree in Applied Art with First Class Honors—securing the third rank on the merit list—from the Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya in Pune. He currently works independently in the fields of painting and design.

Nandurkar has developed ‘Kalakalp,’ a correspondence course designed to teach drawing, painting, landscapes, and portraiture. In addition to this, he also organizes workshops. The illustrations he created for the books *Sulabh Ramayana* and *Sulabh Mahabharata*—authored by Raja Mangalvedhekar—garnered significant acclaim. A dedicated exhibition showcasing his artwork for books was organized at the Sir J.J. School of Applied Art.

Gopal also participated in the group exhibition titled ‘Sagun-Nirgun,’ held at Balgandharva to mark the platinum jubilee (75th) birthday of renowned artist Ravi Paranjape.
