Kiran Purandare

For the past 30 years, he has worked as a researcher, conservationist, teacher, motivator and writer in the field of nature and environment. Purandare has dedicated his entire life to the study, conservation and conservation of nature.

He has been appointed as the Honorary Wildlife Conservationist for Pune district by the Maharashtra Government.

He has published more than 12 books on animals, birds, biodiversity, etc. Out of these, the books Abhaalwatchane Pravasi and Sakha Nagzira have received the Maharashtra Government’s Best Literary Production Award.

He has studied by staying in Nagzira Sanctuary for 400 consecutive days.

Purandare has the skill to get responses from some of the birds by listening to the sounds of about 70 birds in India without any artificial means.

Currently, Kiran Purandare is doing many works of conservation of natural water bodies, nature education, research and nature conservation in the area of ​​Nagzira Sanctuary.
