About the book

Born on12th of June 1973 at Nasik, Gopal Nandurkar completed his diploma in Applied Art (1993) from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, with first Class First, Standing third in the Order of Merit.

He designed a unique correspondence course “Kalakalpa – Art by Post” which includes separate modules in Drawing and Painting, Landscapes and Portraits. He has organized several “Working with Masters” workshops too.

He illustrated Sulabh Ramayan and Sulabh Mahabharata authored by noted children’s Writer Late Shri Raja Mangalvedhekar. The illustrations done for these books were independently exhibited in the Sir J J Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai.

He has exhibited his works in a group show called “Sagun – Nirgun”, October 2009 at Bal Gandharva Kaladalan, Pune as a part of Shri. Ravi Paranjape Amrutmahotsav Samiti celebrations and works in the show titled “Voyage of Colours” at Nehru Centre AC Gallery, Mumbai in October 2008.
