Over the last forty years, Ravi Paranjape has built a wide reputation as a magical realist. Ravi’s creative pursuit has been a journey of achieving break throughs. Thus the magic of his realism emanates primarily from his constant aesthetic search.
No wonder Ravi’s innovative exploits in colour and composition portray his intelligent and intense emotional response to reality. The journey continued only to reveal Ravi’s innermost talent as a painter. His contribution to the world of illustrations, architectural renderings and portraiture was singularly underlined when he received the CAG HALL OF FAME Award from the Communication Arts Guild in 1995.
He received the coveted Dayavati Modi award conferred by the Dayavati Modi Foundation for Art, Culture and Education in 1996. The other recipients of the award include Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Rev. Mother Teresa, eminent vocalist Pandit Jasraj, noted composer and gazal singer Jagjit Singh. Ravi Paranjape's work has been admired and collected by art lovers around the globe.
